Nick Stork  Biography

Nick Stork is a prominent figure in the world of investment and environmental impact, known for his transformative work in both sectors.  Nick is currently the Founder and Managing Partner of Conifer Infrastructure Partners.  Conifer was initially formed to invest the personal and family capital of its founders, Nick Stork and The Stork Family, and has since expanded to select limited partners.  Conifer is focused on building companies that grow from the same business principles across energy and materials sectors.  These principles focus on developing repeatable machines that get better over time and scale.  Additionally, Nick and the Stork Family have recently established Stork Impact Partners, a charitable foundation dedicated to environmental issues and restoration projects across America.

Prior to Conifer, Nick founded Archaea Energy in 2018 and served as the company’s CEO since its inception through the sale to BP in 2022 for $4.1 Billion.  Nick grew Archaea from two employees to 500 and from a concept to the largest renewable natural gas producer (RNG) in the world listed on the NYSE (LFG).

Nick was also the co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Noble Environmental, Inc., an industry-leading waste and environmental services company, where he continues to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.  Noble is one of the largest waste and environmental services providers in Southwest Pennsylvania and Greater Appalachia.

Prior to Noble, Nick served as a Principal with Baleen Capital Management, a global value investment firm led by Fang Li.  Prior to Baleen, Nick worked in corporate finance and development at Three Rivers Natural Resources and was a member of the team that sold the Company’s first 200,000-acre Permian Basin platform to Concho Resources for $1 billion achieving a ~4x return on equity capital in less than three years.

Nick is a proud graduate of Dartmouth College.
