Since joining the Trust Company in 2010, Jorge has been instrumental in maintaining the integrity and operational soundness of the firm’s diverse investment portfolio, significantly contributing to its robust oversight framework.
Jorge’s extensive career in financial services includes prior roles with two Texas-based Funds of Hedge Funds, where he performed similar due diligence functions. His expertise in operational risk management is backed by decades of experience, particularly in structured products and derivatives.
Before relocating to Texas, Jorge worked at Citigroup on the Multi-Asset and Fund Derivatives trading desk in New York, where he managed complex, derivative transactions. His earlier career also includes senior roles in structured credit documentation at Bear Stearns and Salomon Brothers, where he developed his skills in transactional management and project oversight.
Jorge began his career in the early 1990s with Lehman Brothers and Smith Barney, focusing on fixed income derivatives and consulting. His consistent focus on attention to detail, project management, and risk assessment has been a hallmark of his professional journey.
Academically, Jorge holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in International Business from St. Mary’s University.
